※Don't dream it's over. 「まだ終わってはいない。

油断するな。」ということと思っていたが、

Don’t dream. It’s over. と分けると

「夢を見てるんじゃない。もうそれは終わったことだ。」

「また挑戦するんだ。」と前向きな意味にもなる。

これも悪くないかも。

 

クラウデッド・ハウス は、オーストラリアのロックバンド。ニュージーランドのシンガーソングライターであるニール・フィンが、オーストラリアのニック・シーモア、ポール・ヘスターの3人組で結成。1986年にリリースしたシングル、Don't Dream it's Overが全米2位になるなど、1990年代半ばまで活動した。

Nick Seymourは発表当時に言っている、「君はこの歌を陰気臭いと思う？このレコードは希望を捨てないこととマスメディアと消費主義の影響に屈しないことに関しているが、僕達の全ての歌にはそれ以上に前向きな物の見方がある。」
