The Yagiri ferryboat rolls, with the oars sobbing

Holding our breath, pressing ourselves together,

明日(あす)へ ()ぎだす (わか)れです   

we say farewell and row out for tomorrow.

 

Yagiri ferry  locates at lower Edo River, between Shibamata City in Tokyo and

Ichikawa City in Chiba Prefecture.
